RA President extends condolences over Solzhenitsyn death
President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan extended condolences to his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev over the death of Alexander Solzhenitsyn, the RA leader's press office reported.
The message states:
"The people of Armenia learned with great sorrow of the death of the great humanist and writer, a monumental person, Alexander Solzhenitsyn. A unique amalgam of his life - his personal tragedy, as well as sufferings and creative work - has become a symbol of human willpower, strength, and faith.
The life of individuals, such as Alexander Solzhenitsyn does not end with their physical existence.
Such a moral, spiritual, and creative source has no end. For a long time the legacy left by Sozhenitsyn will be a guiding star for the spiritual and moral education of the generations. I express my condolences to you, family and friends of Alexander Solzhenitsyn and the people of Russia."
