Medvedev: Russia will continue efforts for Karabakh conflict resolution
Azerbaijan counts for Russia's further participation in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process, Azeri President Ilham Aliyev said today after talks with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev.

"Despite all difficulties, we think that there are preconditions for a resolution that would satisfy all sides and would base on the international law. We should search for mechanisms of efficient cooperation," he said.

For his part, President Medvedev said that "Russia supports direct talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan." "Russia's position is unchangeable: we will facilitate the process to find a mutually admissible solution to the problem," he said, ITAR-TASS reports.
