Tehran not playing a mediating role in a row between Russia and Georgia
Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki has declared in Tbilisi that Tehran is not playing a mediating role in a row between Russia and Georgia, Press TV reports.

In reply to the question by journalists that if Tehran is seeking to mediate between Moscow and Tbilisi, Mottaki said: "Our role is not mediation, but proposing some ideas could help to end the crisis in the Caucuses."

Yesterday, at a news conference with his Armenian counterpart Edward Nalbandian, Minister Mottaki said that the world powers' blunders provoked crisis in the South Caucasus.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that NATO interference is not needed for resolution of Caucasian problems.
