RA MFA: statements about Armenia's adversity nothing but invention
The Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement on the basis of Madrid proposals was discussed during the meeting with Elmar Mammayarov and Sergei Lavrov, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said in Bishkek.
"As to the statements that some provisions have been already coordinated, I should say that the key issue is the status of Nagorno Karabakh which should be determined by Karabakh people through a referendum," he said, the RA MFA press office reported.
"As to the opinion that Armenia is in an unfavorable condition, it's nothing but an invention," the Minister emphasized.
Commenting on the impending presidential election in Azerbaijan, Minister Nalbandian said that it will not halt Karabakh talks. "Quite the contrary, a new meeting between the Armenian and Azerbaijani President may be organized," he said.
