French Armenians demand Armenian Genocide bill be considered in Senate
Some 800 people, including members of parliament from various political parties, historian Serge Klarsfeld and philosopher Bernard-Henri Levy, gathered in front of the French Senate on November 22, to demand that the bill penalizing denial of the Armenian genocide be considered by the French senators as soon as possible, independent French journalist Jean Eckian told PanARMENIAN.Net.
Mr. Levy informed the attendees of Turkey's ongoing attempts to block the bill which was approved by the French National Assembly on October 12, 2006.
