Ankara Public Prosecutor Office launches investigation into Armenia apology campaign
The Office of the Ankara Public Prosecutor launched an investigation into online public apology for the Armenian Genocide.

Six prosecutors submitted a petition calling for a penalty for the initiators of the apology campaign for "insulting the Turkish nation openly" under Article 301 of the Turkish Penal Code (TCK), Hurriyet daily reports.

Over 27 thousand Turkish intellectuals, authors, journalists, scientists and musicians have already signed the petition which reads, "My conscience does not accept the insensitivity showed to and the denial of the Great Calamity that befell the Ottoman Armenians in 1915. I reject this injustice and for my share, I empathize with the feelings and pain of my Armenian brothers. I apologize to them."
