PM: Armenia beginning to overcome coronavirus crisis

The situation with the coronavirus remains tense but Armenia is entering the phase of overcoming the disease, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Wednesday, July 22.

Pashinyan offered a "careful assessment" of the situation and said the burden on the healthcare system is easing.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Armenia grew by 439 to reach 35,693 on Wednesday, July 22 morning, according to information provided by the Health Ministry. So far, 24,766 people have recovered, 678 have died from the coronavirus in the country, while 217 others carrying the virus have died from other causes.
