2008 proved out Armenia-Russia strong ties
The year of 2008 was remarkable for an unprecedented scheduled of political contacts, including 6 presidential meetings, Russian Ambassador to Armenia said.

"It proved out the highest level of relations between Armenia and Russia. Numerous cooperation agreements with various regions of Russia were concluded," Ambassador Nikolay Pavlov told a news conference in Yerevan.

"CIS partners are priority partners of Russia," he said. "Cooperation with CSTO and EurAsEC will be also developed," he said.

In discussing plans for the current year, Ambassador Pavlov highlighted cultural cooperation. "Russian scientific and cultural center will be established in Yerevan this year," he said.
