France will require nationals traveling from Armenia to take a PCR test

French travelers departing from Armenia will be required to take a coronavirus test before leaving the country, Reuters reports citing an official source familiar with the matter.

France has reportedly added 16 new nations to its “red list” and will require French travelers leaving those countries to take a PCR test upon arrival.

The new regulations will come into effect from August 17 and won't apply to foreign travelers because they can't stay in France anyway.

People traveling from Maldives, Colombia, Montenegro, Bolivia, Kosovo, Dominican Republic, Argentina, Costa Rica, Chile, Equatorial Guinea, Kyrgyzstan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, Palestinian territories, Armenia and Mexico will be required to take a PCR test upon arrival.

Those arriving from Chile, Bosnia and Herzegovina , Moldova and Armenia will be required to take a test before departure from the those countries.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Armenia grew by 229 to reach 41,023 on Thursday, August 13․ So far, 33,897 people have recovered, 809 have died from the coronavirus in the country, while 238 others carrying the virus have died from other causes.
