First Kalashnikov rifles assembled in Armenia delivered to country's army

The first 1000 Kalashnikov rifles assembled in Armenia have been delivered to the country's armed forces.

Chairman of the country's Military Industry Committee Artak Davtyan visited the plant on Friday, August 21 to learn more about the stages of assembling the weapons in Armenia.

"The whole process has been supervised by the Military Industry Committee and the specialists of the Armed Forces, and the final units of the first batch are now ready to be delivered to our Armed Forces," Davtyan said.

AK-103 Kalashnikov assault rifles assembled in Armenia undergo enhanced quality control to rule out defects, the office of the Chairman of the Military Industry Committee reveals.

It was reported in early June that a factory for assembling Kalashnikov assault rifles will open in Armenia. In addition to weapons, the plant is also set to produce night vision systems for the Armenian Armed Forces.
