Cyber security matters discussed in Yerevan

Deputy Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan on Wednesday, September 2 hosted consultations on processes and reforms in the field of information and cyber security.

Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan, Minister of High-Tech Industry Hakob Arshakyan and other officials were attending the meeting in Yerevan.

Avinyan said the issue is more than urgent, given that the hostilities unleashed by Azerbaijan against Armenia in mid-July were accompanied by attacks on official Armenian websites in cyberspace.

The Deputy PM noted that it is necessary to clarify the functions and responsibilities of state bodies in the field of information and cyber security, as well as develop mechanisms for website protection and ensuring education for civil servants.
