Israel, U.S. to recognize Armenian Genocide soon
Recent events in Turkey, specifically the Armenian apology campaign, testify that the day when U.S. and Israel will pass a resolution recognizing the Armenians Genocide at the hands of the Ottoman Empire is not far away, an independent Armenian expert said.

"Adoption of the resolution makes no provision for pecuniary compensation and return of Western Armenian territories yet," the Armenian expert noted. "Although Turkey thinks to limit itself to apologies, other issues are sure to arise," Armen Aghayan told a news conference today.

He emphasized that Turkey can open the border with Armenia only in case the latter acknowledges its territorial integrity.

"Ankara has high expectations that Armenia will retract territorial claims against Turkey. I hope Armenia will never make this mistake," Aghayan said.
