Armenia, Karabakh ex-Presidents meet amid nenewed hostilities

Former leaders of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh have met to discuss the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, said Arman Musinyan, a spokesman for ex-President Levon Ter-Petrosyan.

"Due to the current worrying situation in Artsakh and Armenia, a consultation took place, this time attended by former Presidents of the Republic of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan, Robert Kocharyan, Serzh Sargsyan, former Presidents of the Artsakh Republic Arkadi Ghukasyan and Bako Sahakyan," Musinyan wrote on Facebook Wednesday, October 21.

Azerbaijan, with help from Turkey and Syrian and Libyan mercenaries deployed by Ankara, started a war against Karabakh (Artsakh) in the morning of September 27. The Armenian side has reported deaths and injuries both among the civilian population and the military. Foreign and local journalists too have been injured in Azeri shelling of towns and villages.
