Canada contributing $350,000 for ICRC efforts in Karabakh

Canada is contributing $350,000 to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for the organizations' for humanitarian efforts in Nagorno-Karabakh, Canadian Foreign Minister François-Philippe Champagne said Thursday, October 23.

"In regular contact with Zohrab Mnatsakanyan. [Canada] continues to call for respect of ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh and is contributing $350K to ICRC for humanitarian efforts," Champagne said in a tweet.

"We call on external parties to stay out of the conflict and [urge the] creation of verification mechanisms by OSCE Minsk Co-Chairs."

Ottawa earlier suspended arms exports to Turkey after reports on the use of Canadian technology in the Karabakh conflict.
