Georgia has opened its airspace for Russian planes carrying peacekeepers to Nagorno-Karabakh, Zurab Abashidze, special representative of the Prime Minister of Georgia, told RIA Novosti.

"Part of the contingent of Russian peacekeepers will be transferred to the conflict zone through the Georgian airspace for a pre-agreed and limited period. Our partners have been informed about this," Abashidze was quoted as saying on Wednesday, November 11.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev have signed a deal to end the war in Karabakh after 44 days. Karabakh (Artsakh) President Arayik Harutyunyan said on Tuesday that he has agreed to the deal signed by Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan.
