Spokesperson: Accusations against Pashinyan are "fictional, absurd"

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan considers all the accusations of the former head of the Military Control Service of the Armenian Defense Ministry, Colonel-General Movses Hakobyan against him as fictional and absurd, Pashinyan's press secretary Mane Gevorgyan said Thursday, November 19.

Hakobyan threw accusations at Pashinyan and other top officials, after the Armenian side lost significant territories in a war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Nagorno-Karabakh. He said that as of September 30, Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and Armenia had implemented their replenishment plans by 70% and 52%, respectively.

"These claims are being probed false accusation, a decision will be made afterwards," Geborgyan said in a Facebook post.

According to her, the country's law enforcement authorities should investigate of all Hakobyan's statements.

Advisor to the Prosecutor General of Armenia Gor Abrahamyan said, meanwhile, that the General Prosecutor's Office has recorded Hakobyan's press conference of and sent the video to the Special Investigation Service.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev have signed a statement to end the war in Karabakh after almost 45 days. Karabakh (Artsakh) President Arayik Harutyunyan has said he has agreed to the deal signed by Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan.
