Armenia: Karabakh status should be determined within OSCE Minsk Group

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced Armenia's position on the status of Nagorno-Karabakh has not changed.

"You know the position of Armenia on the status of Nagorno-Karabakh, and our position, of course, has not changed," Pashinyan said in an interview with TASS.

According to Pashinyan, the status of Karabakh should be determined during the negotiation process within the OSCE Minsk Group.

"In fact, there is a consensus, at least among the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, and Armenia agrees that the negotiation process should continue within the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship to discuss issues that are not resolved in the joint statement, "Pashinyan said.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev on November 9 signed a statement to end the war in Karabakh after almost 45 days. Under the deal, the Armenian side is returning all the seven regions surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh, having lost a part of Karabakh itself in hostilities.
