Ankara may have resort to Armenian lobbyists in U.S. and Europe?
Media hysteria on eventual opening of the Turkish-Armenian border is not a novelty in Azerbaijan, an Azeri expert said.

"It's an attempt to attract the attention of Turkish public to official Ankara's policy toward Armenia after regular statement by PM Tayyip Erdogan that the Azeri-Turkish relations will undergo no changes," Rasim Aghayev said.

Pragmatism should dominate the Azerbaijani-Turkish relations, according to him.

"Normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey can help alleviate tensions in the South Caucasus, what will offer Azerbaijan extra possibilities for efficient dialogue on Karabakh," Aghayev said.

"Armenia-Turkey cooperation will compel the Armenian lobby, which disturbs Turkey's activities in the West, to reconsider its position. In this case, Ankara may follow Iran's example and have resort to Armenian lobbyists in the U.S. and Europe," he added, 1news.az reports.
