First batch of Armenian prisoners of war land in Yerevan

The first batch of 44 Armenian prisoners of war and captives arrived in Yerevan from Azerbaijan on Monday, December 14.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said earlier in the day that servicemen and persons who have been officially identified by Azerbaijan and the International Committee of the Red Cross would be returning in the first stage.

The news comes hours after a group of Azeri POWs, including two saboteurs convicted for the murder of an Armenian minor and a soldier, were filmed landing in Baku.

After the end of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh, both sides said they approve the principle of "all in exchange for all".
