The Investigative Committee of Armenia has launched as many as 1358 criminal cases into crimes committed by the servicemen of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia and the Defense Army of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) against the order of military service, as well as on cases of avoiding mobilization during the hostilities in Artsakh.

So far, charges have been brought against 425 people, including under articles on evasion of military service, training or mobilization, failure to comply with an order, desertion and refusal to perform military service duties.

117 servicemen have been arrested, the Investigative Committee revealed. In addition, 25 others have been involved as defendants, they are placed on a wanted list, and will be arrested when discovered.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev on November 9 signed a statement to end the war in Karabakh after almost 45 days. Under the deal, the Armenian side has returned all the seven regions surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh, having lost a part of Karabakh itself in hostilities.
