Second quake hits Armenia within 24 hours

A second earthquake struck Armenia in the past 24 hours on Saturday, February 6, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.

The second tremor, again near the village of Shorzha, Gegharkunik province, was 10km deep and was somewhat weaker (Magnitude 3.7) than the first one (Magnitude 4.7).

Both quakes were felt throughout the provinces of Gegharkunik and Tavush, as well as in Yerevan, the Armenian capital.
