Armenia set to use Sputnik V, AstraZeneca and Pfizer jabs

An expert committee in Armenia has approved the use of Sputnik V, AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccines against the coronavirus, Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan said Thursday, February 18, Factor.am reports.

Avanesyan noted that the country is currently working on ways to ensure the thermal stability of the Pfizer jabs.

According to her, vaccine rollout will begin in March, stressing that vulnerable and high risk groups will receive free jabs on a voluntary basis.

Avanesyan said earlier that Armenia was negotiating the purchase of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against Covid-19.
