Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) President Arayik Harutyunyan on Tuesday, March 9 hosted a group of residents of Hadrut region occupied by Azerbaijan. During the meeting, issues concerning the resettlement of internally displaced persons in other communities of Artsakh were discussed, the President's office said.

According to Harutyunyan, the Artsakh authorities seek to provide comprehensive settlement solutions for the communities. Once the designs are ready, construction will begin in the villages of Noragyugh, Khnatsakh and Ivanyan of Askeran region, the President added.

Social problems facing the people of Artsakh were also discussed at the meeting. Harutyunyan noted that the political road to restoring the territorial integrity of Karabakh is high on the agenda of the authorities.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev on November 9 signed a statement to end the war in Karabakh after almost 45 days. Under the deal, the Armenian side has returned all the seven regions surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh, having lost a part of Karabakh itself, including the region of Hadrut, in hostilities.
