Magnitude 4.3 earthquake in Iran felt in Armenia too

A magnitude 4.3 earthquake that hit Iran's north on Thursday, March 11 morning was felt in Armenia's Syunik province right across the border, authorities revealed.

With an estimated depth of 10 kilometers, the quake shook the area near the city of Khoy in West Azerbaijan Province of the Islamic Republic.

The epicenter was 95 kilometers southwest of the Armenian border, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said, and residents in the towns of Agarak, Meghri, Kajaran, Kapan, Goris and Sisian felt the quake.
