Magnitude 3.8 quake in Turkey felt in Armenia

A magnitude 3.8 earthquake shook eastern Turkey on Friday, March 12 and was felt in neighboring Armenia, authorities said.

The tremor was recorded in Agri province at a depth of 10 kilometers, Armenia's Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

The quake was felt in the villages of Armavir province and Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.

A magnitude 4.3 earthquake that hit Iran's north on Thursday, March 11 morning was felt in Armenia's Syunik province right across the border. With an estimated depth of 10 kilometers, the quake shook the area near the city of Khoy in the Islamic Republic.
