27 people inoculated with Covid-19 vaccines in Georgia have developed side effects, Khatuna Zakhashvili from the country's National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has said, according to Interpressnews.

Zakhashvili said that four of the individuals were put in intensive care unit, two were being resuscitated, while three others were hospitalized.

Weighing in on side effects, NCDC chief Amiran Gamkrelidze explained that fever, muscle or joint pain and fatigue are some of the more common reactions to Covid-19 vaccines.

Gamkrelidze said that in most cases side effects occur 1-2 days after taking the vaccine.

Covid-19 vaccination process started on March 15 in Georgia, Since then 8,536 medical workers and individuals over 65 years of age have been vaccinated with AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccines.
