Rescue teams continue search for Karabakh missing

The Nagorno-Karabakh rescue teams have been deployed in Jrakan (Jabrayil) to continue looking for the remains of the victims of the 44-day war, Karabakh authorities report.

Since November 13, the rescue teams have found the bodies and remains of 1529 people, including dozens of civilians, who had failed to leave their homes when their settlements went under Azerbaijan's control.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev on November 9 signed a statement to end the war in Karabakh after almost 45 days. Under the deal, the Armenian side has returned all the seven regions surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh, having lost a part of Karabakh itself in hostilities.
