Cyprus dedicates park to Armenian soldiers who died for Karabakh

A park dedicated to soldiers who were killed in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) has been inaugurated in Cypriot town of Strovolos, the Armenian National Committee of Cyprus reports.

Former member of the European Parliament Eleni Theocharous, as well as the Mayor of Strovolos Andreas Papacharalambous were came up with the initiative, according to information provided by the Armenian community.

In photos published on social media, both Theocharous and Papacharalambous are seen planting trees in honor of the Armenian heroes who lost their lives in the struggle for the freedom of Artsakh.

Lawmaker from the ruling My Step bloc Artak Manukyan said on Friday that the number of victims of the Second Karabakh War won't surpass 4000.
