Armenian President Armen Sarkissian has sent a thank you letter to his Georgian counterpart Salome Zourabichvili for the warm welcome during his official visit to Georgia, as well as for constructive discussions on bilateral and regional issues.

According to the President, the meeting held in an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect outlined new ways of further development and strengthening of cooperation between the two countries.

“I totally agree that we are responsible for the formation of relations between the coming generations of the Armenian and Georgian peoples," Sarkissian wrote in the letter.

"I am glad to note that there are common interests and promising cooperation in the fields of new technologies, education and science, infrastructures, artificial intelligence, energy, transport and a number of other industries."
