Pashinyan, Putin discuss Karabakh, Armenia elections

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh over the phone on Saturday, April 24, the Kremlin press service reports.

The sides noted that "thanks to the efforts of the Russian peacekeepers, the situation in the region remains stable and calm". They also exchanged views on topics of bilateral cooperation, including in the energy sector.

In addition, Pashinyan has also weighed in on the internal situation in Armenia ahead of snap parliamentary elections scheduled for June.
