Coronavirus: 2200 people vaccinated in Armenia so far

2200 people have been inoculated against the coronavirus in Armenia as of April 26, health authorities report.

According to information provided by the Health Ministry, AstraZeneca and Sputnik-V shots are currently being used in the country's vaccination program.

Armenia is using the AstraZeneca vaccine to inoculate people aged above 55, while folks under that age are getting Sputnik-V shots. The Health Ministry said earlier that the country is planning to vaccinate 700,000 people – almost 25% of the population – against the coronavirus.

People aged over 65, those who have underlying health conditions, medical workers, residents and staff of elderly care centers, as well as social care center employees are included in Armenia's first priority group and will receive the shots in the first phase of the vaccination program.
