Search for war victims resumes in Karabakh

The State Service for Emergency Situations of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) has resumed the search for the remains of Armenian soldiers and civilians killed in the 44-day war in fall 2020.

On Monday, May 24, rescue squads will be working in Varanda (Fizuli) which went under Azerbaijan's control during the hostilities.

Since November 13, the rescue teams have found the bodies and remains of 1553 people, including dozens of civilians, who had failed to leave their homes when their settlements went under Azerbaijan's control.
