Alexander Lukashenko's working visit to Armenia covered with a veil of secrecy
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko arrived in Armenia on March 11. Alexander Lukashenko was met at Yerevan Zvartnots airport by the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan personally. Mr. Lukashenko who left the board of the plane with his youngest son, Nikolai, was met with the traditional bread and salt.
It appears that the Presidents' short talk in the airport was the only sign of Lukashenko's "working" visit to Armenia. According to Belarusskie Novosti, Mr. Lukashenko made his way directly to Tsaghkadzor resort located 55 km. away from the Armenian capital.
Although the Belarusian President is reported to stay in Armenia till May 15, the RA leader's press office doesn't inform whether Sargsyan and Lukashenko will meet again.
Pavel Legky, spokesman for the Belarusian President, said Mr. Lukashenko will be back in Minsk "no earlier than tomorrow."
"There will be more meetings in Armenia," he said.
