Russian peacekeepers help restore power supply in Karabakh's Martuni

On the eve of the International Children's Day, Russian peacekeepers held a humanitarian aid campaign in the administration of the regional center and two schools in the Martuni region of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh), the Russian Defense Ministry reported on Tuesday, June 1.

Given frequent power outages in the region, the peacekeepers handed over the necessary electrical equipment to the representatives of the administration.

In addition, during their visit to schools and kindergartens, the peacekeepers donated paramedic bags and first-aid kits to the medical offices of said educational institutions.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev on November 9 signed a statement to end the war in Karabakh after almost 45 days. Under the deal, the Armenian side has returned all the seven regions surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh, having lost a part of Karabakh itself in hostilities.
