U.S. not going to install military bases in Georgia
There will be no U.S. military bases in Georgia, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs said.

"The United States did not request Georgia to provide territory for military bases," Mr. Matthew Bryza said when commenting on Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze's statement that his country can consider a possibility of hosting U.S. troops.

"The U.S. only seeks defense cooperation with Georgia," Mr Bryza said, Civil.ge reports.
