Gunshot fired at election candidate's vehicle in Armenia

Shots were fired on Sunday, June 20 at a vehicle belonging to lawmaker Arman Babajanyan, who is running in snap parliamentary elections with a bloc headed by himself and political expert Levon Shirinyan.

Babajanyan broke the news on social media but failed to provide more details about the incident. "An investigation is underway," he said.

The police weighed in too, revealing that one shot was fired at the windshield of Babajanyan's car, in circumstances that have yet to be identified.

As reported earlier, shots were fired from a gas pistol at a polling station in the village of Azatashen.
