UEFA-2020: Dutch Parliament reacts to calls for boycotting Baku games

The Dutch Parliament has reacted to calls for boycotting UEFA-2020 games set to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, according to information provided by FAON (Federation of Armenian Organizations in the Netherlands).

The Parliament has reportedly urged the government of the Netherlands against sending a delegation to the quarter-finals in Baku, should the Dutch team qualify, by approving a motion by lawmakers Tom van der Lee and Gert-Jan Segers in Tweede Kamer.

The document also made a reference to the trophy park featuring the helmets of fallen Armenian soldiers inaugurated in the Azerbaijani capital, as well as the Armenian prisoners of war still being held captive in Baku.
