EU Commissioner for Neighborhood to arrive in Armenia on July 8

The European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi will take a two-day trip to Yerevan on July 8, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reports.

Várhelyi's trip is part of a regional visit he will be paying to "reaffirm the EU's readiness to foster the stability and predictability in the South Caucasus region."

EU Foreign Ministers and top foreign policy officials arrived in Yerevan in late June. The visit was mandated by Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, and aimed to reaffirm EU’s readiness to foster the establishment of stability in the region.
