Remains of one more Karabakh war victim recovered in the past day

The remains of one more Nagorno-Karabakh victim were recovered on Friday, July 2 from Varanda (Fizuli), which came under Azerbaijan's control during the 44-day in fall 2020, authorities report.

The body, which most probably belongs to a serviceman, will be identified through DNA analysis, Karabakh's State Service for Emergency Situations said.

Since November 13, the rescue teams have found the bodies and remains of 1591 people, including dozens of civilians, who had failed to leave their homes when their settlements went under Azerbaijan's control.
