Armenian grandmaster Manuel Petrosyan won the second prize of Serbia Chess Open in Belgrade on Thursday, July 8, Chessbase reports.
Nihal Sarin, a 16-year-old Indian prodigy scored 7½/9 points to take the lead, while Vladimir Fedoseev came in the third.
Samvel Ter-Sahakyan and Robert Hovhannisyan, also representing Armenia, did not win prizes.
Both Petrosyan and Fedoseev were among the nine players who shared second to tenth place with 7 points each.
