Armenia changes entry rules as Covid quarantine extended

The government of Armenia has made changes in its requirements for entering the country, a move that came after extending the Covid-19 quarantine regime for another six months until December 20.

According to the Ministry of Health, the requirements for vaccine certificates have been simplified, which means that not only proof of vaccination obtained through the ArMed mobile app, but also those provided by others apps, as well as printed versions protected with a QR code will be accepted.

"Travelers can also present another certificate, confirmed by the competent authority of the Republic of Armenia, based on the principle of reciprocity," the Health Ministry said.

A total of 108,107 doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administered in Armenia since the beginning of the vaccination program in the country in mid-April, the Ministry of Health said on Monday, July 12.
