Armenian Genocide Resolution recognition may become 'compensation' to Armenians
Introduction of the Armenian Genocide resolution to the U.S. Congress has become a 'tradition.'
"Resolutions have been introduced in the Congress since 1975. In 1996 it caused chill in the American-Turkish relations," Artak Shakaryan told PanARMENIAN.Net.
Introduction of a new resolution has become Washington's trump card in relations with Turkey, according to him.
"Adoption of the resolution may become a kind of compensation to Armenians. Washington will certainly make a political gesture but President Obama will hardly recognize the Armenian Genocide in his April 24 statement," Shakaryan said.
