Armenia ranks first among European countries in terms of the biggest jump in gasoline prices, according to a team of analysts from Picodi.com, who tracked how fuel prices changed in the first half of 2021 year-on-year, and calculated how many liters of gasoline residents of the European and the CIS countries can buy for an average salary.

Among European countries, the most significant jump in gasoline prices in the first half of 2021 happened in Armenia, where prices increased by 22.8%. Neighboring Georgia ranks second with a 17.4% hike, while Ukraine come in the third with 13.7%.

The most significant jump in prices was observed in Tajikistan – 30.1%.

The specialists also analyzed how many liters of gasoline can be purchased for an average wage, and Armenia, again, found itself in a not particularly favorable position, landing the penultimate in the ranking of the CIS countries. In Armenia, you can buy only 309 liters of gasoline for an average salary, and the situation is worse only in Tajikistan – 167 liters.
