Armenian soldier heavily wounded in Azeri shooting has come to

Armenian serviceman Arman Atesyan, who was seriously wounded in Azerbaijan's ceasefire violations in Gegharkunik province, has regained consciousness, his life is no longer in danger, Head of the Military Medical Department of the Armenian army, Colonel Sahak Ohanyan told the Public Television on Sunday, July 25.

"Arman has undergone surgery, one of his kidneys has been removed," Colonel Ohanyan said.

"The ventilator is now turned off, the boy is breathing in his own, and has even communicated with the doctors."

Atesyan and two others were injured in Azerbaijan's shooting on July 23.

Azerbaijani forces violated Armenia’s border in several sections in the provinces of Syunik and Gegharkunik on May 12 and 13 and are still refusing to withdraw their troops from the area. Two Armenian servicemen have been killed in Azerbaijan’s shooting, several others have been wounded, while six troops were captured on May 27, although four of them have already returned home.
