Magnitude 3.1 shakes Armenia's north again

A 3.1-magnitude earthquake – the third in the past two days – struck the border area between Armenia and Georgia on Tuesday, August 17 morning, the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.

The tremor happened at a shallow depth of 10 km below the surface. It has not caused any damage, but was felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.

Weak shaking was felt in certain communities of Shirak province.
