Armenia-Lithuania direct flights launching soon, says Šimonytė

Armenia and Lithuania will be launching direct flights, Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė told a joint briefing with his Armenian counterpart Nikol Pashinyan in Vilnius on Monday, October 4.

“Soon our capitals will be connected through direct flights. This will allow our peoples to get to know each other better,” Šimonytė said.

According to her, good relations have developed between Armenia and Lithuania. She expressed hope that, together with Prime Minister Pashinyan, more will be done to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

Pashinyan landed in Lithuania for a two-day official trip on Sunday. He has already met with Šimonyte, and meetings with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda and Seimas Speaker Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen are also planned.
