Armenia invites EAEU producers to replace Turkish goods

Armenia has published a list of 2,350 Turkish goods banned for import and called for partners in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) to replace them.

Deputy Minister of Economy Varos Simonyan said Monday, October 11 that some producers in the EAEU have already responded to the proposal, Sputnik Armenia reports.

Yerevan first banned the import of Turkish goods after the hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh. In the war against Artsakh (Karabakh), Turkey supported Azerbaijan militarily, also by transferring terrorist mercenaries from the Middle East to fight against Karabakh. Armenia was the first to report on Turkey's deployment of thousands of Syrian fighters to Azerbaijan. International media publications followed suit, as did reactions from France, Russia, Iran and Syria. The Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army has already unveiled footage from the interrogation of two such terrorists captured on the front.
