Armenia brings back outdoor mask mandate for residents over 5

Armenia has again made wearing masks in outdoor settings mandatory beginning from Monday, November 1, according to a decision signed by Health Ministry.

Coronavirus infections and deaths continue to rise in the country, amid low vaccination rates.

The new decision said only children aged below five, top officials attending special ceremonies, people diagnosed with chronic respiratory diseases, the deaf, TV anchors and sign language translators, people with mental, behavioral and cognitive disorders are not required to wear a mask.

Also, folks exercising or cycling, eating or smoking, those spending time in nature are exempt from covering their faces in public too.
