EcoLur NGO will launch S.O.S. Sevan campaign on May 27 to protest GeoProMining plans to build a gold processing plant near Sevan basin.

The campaign initiators intend to stop the illegal activity, although GeoProMining pledges to prevent pollution.

EcoLur said that the plant will result in 100 mln. tons of toxic waste and hundreds of hectares of deserted territory.
