Russia, OSCE to discuss ways to achieve Karabakh settlement

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Ann Linde will discuss the organization's assistance in resolving the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh on November 19, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

"The sides are expected to weigh in on issues related to the OSCE's assistance in resolving the conflicts in Nagorno-Karabakh and Transnistria, as well as the organization's mediation in the Geneva Discussions on Security and Stability in the South Caucasus, and consider its possible role in assisting Central Asian states facing the consequences of the crisis in Afghanistan, which has been an OSCE Asian partner for cooperation since 2003," the statement reads.

In clashes launched by Azerbaijan on November 16, the Armenian side has confirmed deaths and injuries, while 13 soldiers have been captured by Azerbaijan. Two combat positions too have gone under the control of Azeri forces, 24 Armenian troops have gone missing.
